This website is operated by SILK ROAD INVEST SRL, a company incorporated under Belgian law, registered under VAT number BE1003835578, with its registered office located at Rue du Bon Pasteur 54, Box A001, 1140 Evere (Belgium).
Throughout this document, the terms “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to SILK ROAD INVEST. By visiting this website and/or purchasing our products, you agree to these Terms and Conditions of Sale and Use.
1. TERMS OF USE FOR THE ONLINE STORE
By accessing this site, you represent that you have reached the age of majority in your country of residence, and you agree that any minor under your supervision may use this site with your consent.
You are prohibited from using our products for any illegal or unauthorized purposes or from violating the laws of your jurisdiction.
Any violation of these terms and conditions will result in the immediate termination of your rights to use the site.
2. CHANGES TO THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS
We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. It is your responsibility to check this page regularly. Your continued use of the site following any changes constitutes your acceptance of those changes.
3. PRODUCT INFORMATION AND AVAILABILITY
All products offered are described in good faith. However, errors may occur. SILK ROAD INVEST shall not be held liable for any inaccuracies.
4. PRICE
Prices are listed in euros, including all taxes (TTC), unless otherwise noted. Shipping charges may apply depending on the delivery address and the selected shipping method. Additional charges may apply for fabric customization, depending on the selected line. These charges are clearly listed on the product page.
Custom Texture Surcharge: If you choose a custom texture (not listed on the product page), an additional fee will apply based on the texture range you select.
Surcharges range from 130 to 450 EUR, depending on the product and the texture range selected. For any inquiries, please contact our customer service department.
5. ORDER
The order becomes final upon receipt of payment. A confirmation will be sent to you by email.
We reserve the right to refuse an order, particularly in the event of a prior dispute.
6. PAYMENT
Payments can be made by credit card, bank transfer, or through the Alma installment payment service. Payment via Alma is subject to acceptance of Alma’s terms and conditions. Any refusal of financing by Alma will result in the cancellation of the order, unless the customer agrees to pay in full.
7. ORDER CANCELLATION POLICY
You can cancel your order at no charge within 24hours of placing it.
After this period, any cancellation request will result in:

Retention of a deposit equal to 10% of the total amount;

The failure to reimburse shipping costs, even if they have not yet been incurred.
To cancel an order, you must contact us as soon as possible via our form or by email.
8. DELIVERY
Delivery times are provided for informational purposes only. No refunds will be issued for delays beyond our control. Shipping charges are never refunded after shipment.
9. RIGHT OF WITHDRAWAL (14 DAYS)
In accordance with Belgian law, you have 14 days from the date of receipt to exercise your right of withdrawal.
Terms and Conditions:

The product must be returned in its original packaging and in perfect condition.

The customer is responsible for return shipping costs.

The refund will be issued within 14 days of receipt.
Exceptions:

Customized products: No right of withdrawal except in the case of an error or defect. (This includes all products that are not in stock at the time the order is placed and are therefore made to order.)

Damaged or incomplete products: no refunds.
10. STATUTORY WARRANTY
Our products are covered by the statutory warranty of conformity under Belgian law. Any defect must be reported as soon as it is discovered using our customer service form (https://home-sweet.be/sav).
The warranty does not cover:

Improper use;

Normal wear and tear or damage caused by an external event;

Modifications made by the customer or a third party;
-
Visible defects that were not reported within a reasonable time.
11. LIABILITY
We assume no liability for any direct or indirect damages resulting from the use of our website or our products, unless otherwise required by law.
12. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
All content on this website (images, text, logos, etc.) is the property of SILK ROAD INVEST or its partners. Any reproduction is prohibited without authorization.
13. BILLING AND PENALTIES
Invoices must be paid within 14 days of issuance.
In the event of late payment, statutory interest and a lump-sum penalty will apply:

€20 if the amount due is ≤ €150;
-
30 € + 10% of the amount between 150.01 € and 500 €;
-
65 € + 5% of the amount exceeding 500 € (capped at 2,000 €).
A reminder fee of €7.50 plus postage will be charged starting with the third reminder.
INTERMEDIARY FEES:
Once we receive your customized product at our warehouse, you will be notified immediately by email and asked to select a delivery time slot.
If you do not select a time slot within one month, a storage fee will be added at the time of delivery: €100 per month of storage.
14. GOVERNING LAW
These General Terms and Conditions of Sale and General Terms and Conditions of Use are governed by Belgian law. In the event of a dispute, only the courts of the District of Brussels shall have jurisdiction, unless otherwise required by mandatory law.
